Quick answers.

Billing, syncing, and platform quirks, answered in a paragraph. The longer walkthroughs live in the topics above.

Can I switch Pro access between iOS and Android?

There is currently no fully automatic cross-platform transfer flow. If you switched phones or platforms, contact support and include the RC ID of your old and new device, and access can be transferred manually. Find it at Settings › General, in the Debug section at the bottom; tapping RC ID copies the value.

How do I upgrade from subscription to Lifetime?

Open Settings › HabitKit Pro and choose Get Lifetime instead. After buying Lifetime, cancel your recurring subscription separately in the App Store or Google Play so it does not renew. Your habit data stays intact.

Why can't I purchase outside the App Store or Google Play?

Payments are handled directly by Apple and Google. HabitKit cannot process payments outside those stores and cannot override store-level restrictions for purchases.

Where can I manage or refund my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed in your platform store account. On iOS, use Apple's subscription and refund flow: Apple refunds. On Android, use Google Play's refund flow: Google Play refund support.

I purchased Pro but Restore Purchases does not work. What should I check?

First, confirm you are logged into the same App Store/Google Play account used for the purchase. Check that the subscription has not expired, then try Restore on a working connection. If it still fails, contact support with your receipt and RC ID (Settings › General, in the Debug section at the bottom; tapping RC ID copies the value).

Why are some features limited in the free version?

HabitKit is developed and maintained by a solo developer. Limits in the free version help balance a useful free experience with ongoing development, maintenance, and long-term app quality.

Can I request new features?

Yes. Feature requests are welcome and directly influence planning. If an idea is a good fit for HabitKit, it gets added to the feature backlog and prioritized with other upcoming work.

Does HabitKit sync across devices?

HabitKit does not automatically sync changes between devices. A phone backup or an exported file is a snapshot, not a shared live history. To carry your habits to another phone, export a file and import it, as Move your habits to a new phone, or from iOS to Android walks through.

How do Yes / No, Count and Measure work?

Choose Tracking in the habit editor: Yes / No for a daily tick, Count for whole numbers, or Measure for amounts with a unit and up to three decimal places. Count and Measure use a Daily Goal for build habits or a Stay Below limit for quit habits.

Can I track values above my daily goal?

Yes. With Count or Measure, open the number sheet after reaching the goal, enter the total you want to record and save it. Extra amounts remain in your history, but a successful day still counts only once toward your streak.

Why doesn't my Apple Watch workout check off my habit?

There is no Apple Watch app and no complication, so nothing on the watch reaches HabitKit directly. Apple's Shortcuts app is what does this instead: a Workout automation that runs the HabitKit action "Mark Habit As Completed". If yours does nothing, three things are worth checking. The action needs iOS 17 or later, its Habit field has to actually be set, and an archived habit never appears in the picker. Note the name too: the old "Complete Habit" action no longer exists, which is what most older guides send you looking for. Complete habits with Siri and iOS Shortcuts has the full setup.

My Android widgets look broken after a system update.

Open HabitKit first. A widget never reads your habits directly: it draws a snapshot the app writes for it, so opening the app is the real fix in most cases. Two states look like damage and are not: "Open app to refresh widget" means the widget could not read that snapshot, and a spinner that never finishes means either that none has been written yet or that the habit the widget points at was archived or deleted. Removing the widget and adding it again clears both. A padlock is a third thing again: widgets are part of HabitKit Pro, so that is a lock rather than a fault. Two more on Android: "Not enough height" means drag it taller, and Legacy (Performance) Mode, at Settings › General in the Home Screen Widgets section, quietly takes tapping away from the small and medium widgets. Widget not updating covers each one.
